The Asante Mampong District Court has granted actor Kwadwo Nkansah popularly known as Lil Win GH¢50,000 bail with two sureties following his arrest on Monday, June 3, 2024.

He was arrested by officers of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department of the Manhyia Divisional Command soon after he was discharged from the hospital.

His arrest is in relation to an accident involving a vehicle he was driving which collided with another vehicle causing the death of a three-year-old boy.

Lil Win has been charged with Dangerous Driving and negligently causing harm.

The prosecution informed the court that they were still investigating the matter and asked that the accused should be present anytime he was needed.

The prosecution explained that the case delayed due to the health condition of the accused.

Counsel for Lil Win, Margaret Adjei-Twum, told the Court that her client suffered injuries including internal bleeding and should be granted bail to enable him get adequate treatment.

She claimed her client was forced to attend court even though he is still not well.

She said her client is a well-known public figure in the country and would not jump bail.

The case has been adjourned to 27th June 2024.
