A 27-year-old Nigerian citizen, Winner Terry, has been arrested by the Buduburam District Police Command for stabbing his co-tenant in the neck, shoulder, and leg during an argument over how much money songwriters receive for writing music for musicians.
The unfortunate incident occurred at Estate Junction, a suburb of Gomoa Buduburam in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
According to police sources, during the heated argument in the suspect’s room, the latter took a bottle, broke it and stabbed his colleague several times leaving the victim with serious wounds.
He was rushed to the receiving the St. Gregory Hospital in Buduburam where he is receiving treatment.
The suspect is currently in police custody assisting investigation at the Gomoa Buduburam Police Station.
Meanwhile, the landlord, who also serves as the Benkumhene of Buduburam, Nana Amoasi, in condemning the act, also appealed to President Akufo-Addo to cause military officers to to be deployed in the area to help the police fight criminal activities.
