The strike action of the jurors is currently biting hard on justice delivery and impeding expeditious trial of indictable cases at the High Courts.
The trial of Daniel Asiedu alias Sexy Don Don, Richard Appiah and Pius Ayoma among others have all suffered another adjournment following the absence of jurors.
For six weeks since May 16, 1024, the jurors have laid down their tools over 10-months unpaid allowance.
On Monday, July 1, Justice Lydia Osei Marfo’s hope for the return of the jurors for Daniel Asiedu’s trial to resume was dashed.
Similarly, Justice Ruby Aryeetey’s Court could only adjourned the case of Richard Appeal to July 22.
EIB Network’s Legal Affairs Correspondent, Murtala Inusah, who is Court said more cases involving the jurors are all being adjourned.
