CLOGSAG National Secretariat

Persons who visit any government agency across the country today, Wednesday July 3, 2024 to transact business will not be successful as they will likely meet empty offices following the strike declared by the Civil and Local Government Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG).

The Association has ordered its members not to show up at work from today, Wednesday July 3.

The Executive Secretary of CLOGSAG, Isaac Bampoe Addo, at a press conference on Tuesday to announce the strike said all efforts to get the government to implement the new salary structure which has been outstanding since January last year has proven futile hence their action.

“In consonance with our letter dated 21st June 2024 indicating our intention to proceed on nationwide strike if the new salary structure for the staff of the Civil Service and Local Government Service is not implemented we hereby declare a nationwide strike from Wednesday July 3, 2024, all staff of the Civil Service and Local Government Service should stay away from work until further notice. Similarly, all CLOGSAG Secretariat offices are closed. Kindly take note and comply.”
