President Akufo-Addo has announced that the first phase of the Suame Interchange project will be completed by the end of 2024.
Work on the main interchange has also commenced.
He reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the timely completion of the entire project, addressing the persistent complaints from motorists about the difficulties they face on this route.
Currently, contractors are focusing on constructing overpasses at key intersections on the Kumasi Offinso Highway. Additionally, there are ongoing efforts to upgrade link roads in the affected communities.
President Akufo-Addo assured that the Suame Interchange project will meet its 2025 completion deadline.
The President also inaugurated the commencement of a 20-kilometer dualization of the Anhwiankwanta-Ahenema Kokoben road.
He instructed contractors to implement safety measures to alleviate the stress on motorists.
