A 38-year-old mason has hanged himself after evening praises and prayer session in his room at Ajumako Entumbil in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of the Central Region.
Reports gathered indicates that on Monday, July 15, 2024, around 10:00 PM, was heard in his room singing songs of praise and later went into a time of prayer, which was unusual of him.
Ekua Adoa, mother of the deceased who spoke to Kasapa News’ Yaw Boagyan revealed that they were in their room sleeping when they heard the deceased singing songs of praise. But after some time, they didn’t hear his voice anymore, so the deceased’s sister, whose mobile phone charger was with him, decided to go and retrieve it. After knocking on the door several times without a response, they took sticks and hit the door open, only to find that the deceased was hanging from a ceiling fan.
He had used a sponge to hang himself.
Relatives said the deceased appeared fit, hence they don’t know what actually pushed him to take his life.
Meanwhile, the case has been reported to the Ajumako District Police Command for investigation and the body conveyed to the morgue.
