A six-year-old class one pupil has been tortured with electrical cables by his mother at Gomoa Dominase in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
Information gathered by Kasapa News’ Yaw Boagyan revealed that the mother, a teacher at Gomoa Dominase D/A JHS, Madam Fidal, on the morning of Thursday, July 25, 2024, asked her son to bathe and get ready for school as the school was set to vacate on that day.
When the boy refused to go to school, his mother became angry, retrieved electrical cables from a room, and used them to cane the child. She continued to beat him until residents intervened and rescued the boy.
After torturing her son, the mother left him on the floor to suffer the pain.
Eyewitnesses who saw the brutality condemned the act and reported her to the authorities in the community.
Although the case had not been reported to the police at the time of writing, authorities have promised to report it for further investigation.
The child is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
