Two Suspected thieves have been shot dead for attempting to seal bags of Cocoa beans at Denkyira Kyekyewere in the Upper Denkyira East Municipality of the Central Region.

The thieves were in their twenties named Razack and Agyeku all natives of the Community.

A report gathered by Kasapa news Yaw Boagyan revealed that the Assembly Member Hon Kwabena Boateng, for Denkyira Kyekyewere Electoral Area in the Upper Denkyira East Municipality of the Central Region, shot these two suspected thieves to death at this on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 dawn at around 4:00 am when the detected that no one was at the house.

According to the residents in an interview, the suspects Razack and Agyaku are routine thieves in the community.

The information gathered indicates that, the duo deceased suspects have severally stolen from the Assembly Member and other community members and a series of complaints had been lodged to the police in Kyekyewere and are on the police wanted list.

The deceased tried to steal from Hon Boateng’s cocoa shed at this dawn and he fired them.

Agyaku died instantly whilst Razack passed away on the outskirts of Dunkwa – Kyekyewere road.

Meanwhile, the family of the victims has been informed.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Dunkwa On-Offin Government Hospital mortuary for autopsy and preservation while police are investigating the matter.
