Lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) Kobby Mensah has stated that elections are about academia not prophesies.
In his submission statement following some Ghanaian Prophet and their prophesies about the US election which was held on the 5th of November 2024 between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, declaring Kamala Harris to emerge as the winner.
Speaking on Kasapa news, Mr. Mensah cited that most of the prophecies made by some of the Ghanaian prophets are based on the rate at which political parties pull out the crowds and the opportunities for comparison between parties.
“If you look at the rate at which people prophecy was given, is based on social status, polls and the comparison opportunities between the parties, but for we the academics our analysis are based on academics we don’t attention to prophecies,” he said.
“I think in Ghana, most of our church platforms have turned into politics and business pastors can mobilize members, they think they have the opportunity to tell the congregation anything they want”.
He added, “The best way to go as political parties should be more focus on sending their campaign messages to the people and not rely on prophecies”.
