Residents and Party Members in the Assin South Constituency are calling for His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and the Central Region NDC party executives to Consider the Parliamentary Candidate for the NDC in the Assin Central Constituency Hon.Stephen Kofi Baidoo as the District Chief Executive for Assin Central District.
According to the Residents and some party Members,their Parliamentary Candidate is the best candidate to be appointed as their District Chief Executive.
Speaking to Ghone News Yaw Boagyan in an interview,they stressed that Hon.Stephen Kofi Baidoo is the only Parliamentary Candidate that has the records of closed gab in all the Parliamentary Candidate in an elections that has been conducted in the Assin South Constituency.
They stressed that,2028 is at the corner and they believed that appointing Hon.Stephen Kofi Baidoo as the District Chief Executive will help bring development in the Assin South District to market him self and the party in the 2028 general election.
According to the Residents,Hon.Stephen Kofi Baidoo is the only party whom they have eyed of leading the Assin South District.
They said they would boycott any name that will be appointed as their District Chief Executive apart from their 2024 Parliamentary Candidate Hon.Stephen Kofi Baidoo.
According to the party supporters,their Parliamentary Candidate had 13,354 votes against 14,899 votr for the NPP Parliamentary candidate and the Parliamentary result was only 1,545 votes which was unprecedented in the history of politics in the Assin South Constituency.
So, according to them,they think appointing Hon.Stephen Kofi Baidoo to be the District Chief Executive will sell the NDC party for victims 2028.
Residents and the party supporters speaking in an interview with Ghone news Yaw Boagyan revealed that,Stephen Kofi Baidoo as the Parliamentary Candidate was able to construct uncountable borehole water to many deprived communities including the Assin Nsuta Senior High School,able to renovate many decapitated schools,has been able to involved the unemployed youths into many skilled training,help poor but brilliant Students into Senior High School,able to register and renewed over 10,000 driving licence for drivers and Okada riders in the Assin South District,health and eye screening for over 1000 peoples,reshaped many decapitated roads in the many communities and many more development for the development of the People.
They hinted that Hon.Stephen Kofi Baidoo during his time as the Parliamentary Candidate built a Morden urinal and bathrooms for the market women in the Nyankomasi Ahenkro which was one of their major challenges over 10 years.
In all this,they are appealing to the NDC Regional Party Executives and President John Dramani Mahama to consider and appoint their Parliamentary Candidate Hon.Stephen Kofi Baidoo as their District Chief Executive for them to snatch the Assin South Parliamentary in 2028.
Meanwhile,over 10 aspirants have filed to be nominated and the District Chief Executive for the Assin South District, but party supporters and the residents have decided on their Parliamentary Candidate Hon.Stephen Kofi Baidoo.
