Professor Raphael Nyarkotey Obu, President of Nyarkotey University College of Holistic Medicine and Technology, has underscored the significant health benefits of hibiscus (sobolo) leaves, describing them as a powerful natural remedy for managing high blood pressure.

In an interview on Kasapa FM’s Ghana Kasa Morning Show with Akua Sonto, Prof. Nyarkotey Obu shared insights from recent research that highlight hibiscus as an effective tool in regulating high blood pressure.

“Human studies show that hibiscus is a potent treatment for high blood pressure, often more effective than pharmaceutical drugs,” Prof. Nyarkotey Obu said.

He also emphasized the importance of integrating natural remedies into modern healthcare, especially in Ghana, where hibiscus leaves are readily accessible.

Prof Nyarkotey also encouraged people to adopt a holistic approach to health by combining traditional remedies with conventional medical treatments.
