The Muslim communities in the Gomoa Akyempim in the Gomoa West District are reminding President John Dramani Mahama of his campaign promises to the Muslim communities across the country.

Addressing the Muslim members during the 2025 annual Muslim conference at Gomoa Kokofu in the Gomoa West District, the Gomoa Akyempim Chief Imam Malam Ayuba Kojo Mohammed appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to remember his campaign promises to the Muslim communities.

According to him, President John Dramani Mahama has reduced the hajj fee drastically but expects him to produce more Arabic teachers in the various Islamic schools.

He appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to train more Islamic members and employ them to get employment.

He also urged the Muslim members to do away with violence and allow peace and unity to be with them.

In addition, the Odikro of Gomoa Tarkwa Nana Atta Kwakwa Agyeri Oposu VII also appealed to the Muslim communities to invest heavily in their ward’s education.

According to the Chief, the most important legacy every Ghanaian parent should leave for their child is education.

Today, almost all the land has been occupied. Sending your child to school is the most important thing every parent should do.

He stressed that one cannot live without education, so he encouraged every Ghanaian parent to invest heavily in their wards.

Lastly, Nana Atta Kwakwa Agyeri Oposu VII also called for unity and peace among the Muslim communities across the country.

He also advised Ghanaians, mostly Muslim communities, to stay away from troubles and violence that may lead a person to imprisonment or death.

He appealed to Ghanaians to adopt late President Atta Mills’s peace messages when he was president.

He urged all Muslim communities to come together for a common goal.
