Renowned Ghanaian business magnate Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong has been invited to speak as a distinguished guest at the upcoming Harvard Africa Development Conference (ADC) 2025.

The event which is the 16th annual conference, is set to take place on April 11-12 at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, under the theme “Africa by 2040: The Future of Africa’s Youth.”

The ADC serves as a premier global platform for discussions on Africa’s development, organized by students from Harvard Law School and the Kennedy School of Government. This year, the conference is expected to attract over 500 attendees, including policymakers, business leaders, and influential figures from various sectors.

According to organizers, Dr. Ofori Sarpong’s selection as a speaker underscores his significant contributions to Ghana’s economy. As the founder of Special Investments Ltd. and Special Ice Ltd., and a co-founder of United Television (UTV) and Best Point Savings and Loans, his ventures have been instrumental in driving economic growth and fostering entrepreneurship in Ghana. His dedication to education and youth empowerment aligns with the conference’s focus on harnessing the potential of Africa’s youth for sustainable development.

In previous years, ADC has featured notable leaders such as Peter Obi, former Governor of Anambra State, and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of Ghana. The 2025 conference will explore how Africa’s burgeoning youth population can catalyze transformative change across the continent.
