Leadership of Chief imams in the Assin South District has shown their gratitude to the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama, the Regional Chairman Noble Professor Kofi Asiedu and the Assin South National Democratic Congress Parliamentary Candidate Hon.Stephen Kofi Baidoo for showing truthful leadership skills in the Country.

Speaking in an interview with GhOne News Yaw Boagyan, the Chairman of Assin South Chief Imams Confederation Alhaji Saeed Yussif stressed that, they have confidence and great hope in the John Dramani Mahama’s administration since he has starting fulfilling his campaign promises.

According to him, the reduction in the price of Hajj fee alone is enough for the Muslims communities across the country.

He said, though President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC just came to power not long ago, they are performing well and hope they will perform better to improve the living standards of all Ghanaians.

He hinted that, the NDC Parliamentary candidate for Assin South Constituency Hon. Stephen Kofi Baidoo lost in the just ended 2024 general election but he is really helping the Assin South District most especially the all the 23 Muslims communities the Assin South District.

The Chief Imam, on behalf of all the 23 Muslims communities in the Assin South District, wants Stephen Kofi Baidoo to be appointed as the Assin South District Chief Executive to foster development in the District.

Donating foodstuff to the Muslim community in the Assin South District on behalf of the Central Regional Chairman of the NDC, by the Assin South NDC 2024 Parliamentary Candidate Hon. Stephen Kofi Baidoo in the Ramadan fasting season, some of the Muslims applauded the leadership of the Regional Chairman and the NDC for the kind of gesture.

According to them, Muslim communities in the Assin South District have never received any gift from the NPP government before and during the Ramadan season, and this is the first time the Muslim community has received foodstuffs from a politician since 2008.

They stressed that the former deputy minister of education, who doubles as the member of parliament for the Assin South constituency, Rev. John Intem Fordjour has not been fair to the Muslim community in Assin South since he has never donated to them before during Ramadan fasting.

Donating the foodstuff on behalf of the Central Regional NDC Chairman Prof Richard Kofi Aseidu and the Assin South NDC Parliamentary candidate Hon. Stephen Kofi Baidoo, the spokesperson for NDC Concern Branch Executives Obed Osman stressed that it is one of the NDC priorities to make sure all the Muslims members have been catered for in their Ramadan season.

Some of the foodstuff donated were bag sugers,Mills,rice,water and undisclosed amounts of money

He said NDC is the only political party that has the welfare of Muslims at heart.

He also hinted that, all Muslims should pray for President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC party to deliver and fulfil all their promises.

According to him, Stephen Kofi Baidoo has laid down good policies that will help the Muslim community and people in the Assin South District so they should remember him in prayers as they always do.
