The Member of Parliament for Dormaa Central, John Adu Kwame Jack, has strongly criticized the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) over persistent corruption scandals.

Speaking on Ghana Kasa on Kasapa FM with Akua Sonto, he questioned why successive leaders of the company fail to expose and address these corrupt practices.

According to Hon. Adu Jack, the arrival of a new government presents an opportunity to ensure accountability and efficiency within the ECG, which has been entangled in procurement irregularities and corruption.

He also referenced a statement by the Minister of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye, alleging that the ECG imported 3,000 containers that may remain unused for the next decade.

Mr. Adu Kwame Jack, Member of Parliament for Dormaa Central, has stated that approximately 90-95 percent of Ghanaians feel at ease following John Mahama’s election victory.

Comparing the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to the main opposition party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), he noted that in the first three months after the government changed, there had been no significant salary increases.

Using an analogy, he explained that if someone had planted crops during this period, they would not have matured yet. Despite this, he believes Mahama’s victory has brought a sense of comfort to the majority of Ghanaians.
