Chiefs,Residents and market women in Adansi Fumso in the Adansi Asokwa Constituency in the Ashanti Region have jubilated as the Member of Parliament for the Constituency has grazed the over 24 year old hilly rubbish site dump from the middle of a market centre.

The residents, according to them, never suspected such a huge dumping site, which has been there for over 24 years, will be grazed just three months. The Member of Parliament took office.

The Residents expressed their happiness to the Member of Parliament for such a gesture,they assured him to vote for him until his retirement from politics.

According to the market women,they are very disappointed in the just immediate passed Member of Parliament KT Hammond for being unable to tackle the sanitation issue in the Adansi Fumso,he has been the Member of Parliament for over 25 years yet failed to grazed this hilly dumping site from the market center.

The market, according to there, was contracting a lot of illness from the market centre, and malaria and cholera outbreaks were at higher in the community.

Speaking in an interview with Ghone news Yaw Boagyan,the Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa Constituency Hon.Godwin Animli Dorgbadzi-Dorani stressed that,it’s one of his priorities to tackle sanitation issues in the Adansi Asokwa Constituency because the rate at which his residents were suffering from Cholera and malaria was beyond his imaginations.

The Member of Parliament hence said,during the 2024 campaign time,he promised the good people of Adansi Fumso to tackle and graze a hilly dumping site that has been in the centre of a market and he is happy to do that just three months he resumes office as a member of Parliament.

He said he doesn’t want the land to go wasted, so after grazing the over 24 year old hilly dumping site,he will pave the floor with more market space for the market women.

He also promised to tackle the water crisis in the Adansi Fumso and it environment in his next step.

He promised to provide more boreholes in most communities to solve water crisis problems.

Meanwhile,he has also also sponsored over 9100 Basic Education Certificate Examination Candidates with mock examinations in the entire Adansi Asokwa Constituency to test the abilities of the student on their preparations towards the upcoming BECE examinations.

As a teacher, he also sees the challenges parents went through in paying the mock examination fees for their wards as for as Education is concern.

He then wished all BECE candidates in the Adansi Asokwa Constituency well and urged them to study hard and come out with flying colours.

He lastly donated foodstuffs to over 30 Muslims communities in the Adansi Asokwa Constituency in this Ramadan season.

Over 50 bags of sugar and 50 bags rice were donated to the Muslim communities.

He appealed to the Muslims members in the Adansi Asokwa Constituency to pray for President John Dramani Mahama and himself to deliver massively as they urged Ghanains.

He said Muslims communities are at the heart of the NDC and will get their share in the NDC policies.
