
The Leadership of Franko and Friends Foundation, a none governmental organisations and a charity Foundation based in Accra has donated an assorted foodstuff and undisclosed amounts money to the management of the Village of Hope Orphanage home to support managing the home.
Foodstuffs donated are bags of rice, sugar,bottle water,sachets water,biscuits,bags of clothes,tin of milk, T-rolls, detergents, gallons of cooking oil and many more.
The leader and founder of Franko and Friends Foundation Mr.Frank Owuradu after donating foodstuff to the Village of Hope Orphanage home at Gomoa Fetteh in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region revealed that it is one of their priorities to support the vulnerable people orphanage homes across the country.
He said the Foundation has been supporting vulnerable people as part of the organisation vision and mission as to why it was established.
The Founder and Leader also appealed to private individuals,Philanthropies, and non-governmental organisations in the country to also support orphanage homes and vulnerable people’s to also feel as human.
He said the initiative won’t end here but will support vulnerable people as going forward as an organisation.
Some of the members of the Franko and Friends Foundation also advised the management of the Village of Hope Orphanage Home to make good use of the items donated to them.
According to the members,the foodstuffs being given to them should be used to serve the orphans accordingly, for that was the main motive why they do the donations.
The members then also appealed to the government to allocate some funds to support orphanage homes in the country since they are suffering in feeding the orphans of about 5000 and over at a single orphanage home.
Management of Village of the Orphanage Home located in the Central Region has appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to allocate funds to support orphanage home in the country since most of the orphanage home are on the verge of collapsing.
Speaking in an interview with Ghone news Yaw Boagyan,Mr.Lawrance Baah House Father of the Village of Hope Orphanage stressed that,some of the orphanage homes in the country are at the verge of collapsing due to lack of fund to manage the homes.
He said that most of the orphanage homes depend of None Governmental Organisations,Philanthropies and private individuals, which is not appropriate always.
He is then appealing to the government to allocate some of his funds to support orphanage homes in the country.
According to him,orphanage homes don’t get any benefits from the government, which is a bit worrying to them.
He then advised parents to desist from abandoned their children in the streets but rather take good care of them.
