
The deputy Minister for Works and Housing, who doubles as the Member of Parliament for the Awutu Senya West Constituency, has announced the government initiation to centralise affordable housing into Districts across the country.
Inspecting the site for the project in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of the Central Region,the deputy Minister of Works and Housing Hon.Gizalla Agbotui Tetteh stressed that,the project will benefit both public and civil servant interms of accommodation.
The Minister stated that the Centralisation of the Affordable Housing will start in Eight Districts across the country, of which the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District benefits from the first phase
She said it is one of the government priorities to get accommodation for government workers across the country, both National,Regional and Districts Offices.
She said the project will be within one year after its launch in the Volta Region coming July this year.
The Minister, according to her in an interview with Ghone News Yaw Boagyan also encourages private sectors to emulate the initiative.
In addition,the District Chief Executive of Ajumako Enyan Essiam District Hon.Andrews Kojo Duodu also in an interview said,the initiative will help workers within the Ajumako Enyan Essiam ro get affordable place to sleep to enhance their work in the District.
The District Chief Executive, according to him, warmly welcomes the initiative and wants all the workers, both civil and public, to patronise for it will be helpful.
The District Chief Executive said the Affordable Housing Scheme in the District base is a good initiative that Ghanaian must be appreciated.
The government thinks about its workers and workers within the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District benefits from the project.
