The NDC executives and party members of the Assin Central Constituency in the Central Region have struck at the regional chairman after three branch executives were arrested and put in police custody after a press conference against the regional chairman over an alleged bribe.

They further call on the regional chairman, Professor Richard Kofi Aseidu, to eschew Peace and tranquility to release the three arrested branch executives from the police station.

Briefing the media in a press conference, the angry executives said, the three arrested branch executive members held a press conference against the regional chairman for allegedly paying a losing bonus to assembly members to vote against the president’s nominee for the MCE position of Assin Central Municipal Assembly in the name of Madam Charlotte Boakye.

The press conference led to their arrest, and now in the courthouse to justify their actions.

Addressing the Press, the Assin Central NDC executives stressed that,those arrested have committed no harm to the party,they are those who do a massive campaign to bring the party to power during the 2024 general elections.

The party executives storm the Twifo Atti Morkwa District Police station to show their displeasure to demand the removal of their colleagues from the police custody.

The executives in a Press blame the Central Regional NDC Chairman for collapsing the NDC party in the Assin Central Constituency over his misconduct and calling on the National Executives to call him into order.

According to the party executives, the Regional Chairman is behind the arrest of the branch executives because they organized the press conference against him.

In addition,the Assin Central rejected MCE Nominee Charlotte Boakye in an interview also called on the National Executives of NDC the party to call the Central Regional Chairman Prof.Andrews Kofi Aseidu into order for he is collapsing the NDC party in the Assin Central Constituency.

He said the three branch executives who are in police custody now need to be released now. Otherwise, they will stage a massive demonstration against the regional chairman and the national executives.

She said that if they want the NDC party to win again in the 2028 general election, the regional chairman should be called to order, for he is collapsing the party.

They want transparency in the NDC party among the Executives and the party members in the Assin Central Constituency for the victims in 2028.

Meanwhile, the party executives in the Assin Central Constituency threatened to boycott all party activities if the three branch executives still remained in police custody.
