The Board of Directors of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has unreservedly condemned the pressure being mounted to oust the Chief Executive Officer by fragments of the hospital body.

Contrary to claims by the members of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association of Korle-Bu and the hospital’s Senior Staff Association, that CEO, Dr. Gilbert Buckle is mismanaging the facility, the Board said it still has utmost confidence in the CEO, insisting that removing him is needless.

Chairman of the Board,Anthony Mawuli Saller,  in an interview with Accra-based Citi FM said management of the facility is on a solid footing and functioning effectively, adding that the depth of allegations raised against the CEO are untrue and unsubstantiated.

“Once a while we run short of consumables” but that the Board said is to a large extent as a result of the staff failing to notify management on time when there is a shortfall.

According to the Board, a statement will be released Thursday to address the issues raised.
