Three goals, one in the first half and two in the second, ended Ghana’s chances of staging a successful run for the FIFA Under 20 World Cup.

In a Round of 16 fixture played in New Zealand this morning, the Black Satellites failed to glitter, and let go a campaign that started very well.

Mali outplayed a not-so-okay Ghana side throughout the ninety minutes, with Coach Sellas Tetteh’s men struggling to stand a stronger West African opposition.

The loss ends what many thought would be Ghana’s second win at the tournament after 2003 when they beat Brazil in the finals.
