Armed robber on Monday dawn stormed the residence of the Tema Regional Chief Executive Officer of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Mr Emmanuel Fiagbe at New Dawhenya, shot and killed him instantly.
The AK 47 wielding robbers numbering three reportedly used a car jack to break a window in order to get access to the house and carry out their nefarious act.
The Public Relations Officer of the Tema Police Command, A.S.P Juliana Obeng stated that the police was notified of the attack between 2:30 -3:00 am, but after swiftly responding to the distress call, they located the deceased residence after the robbers had killed the victim and absconded.
She noted that the corpse has been deposited at the Police Hospital Morgue awaiting autopsy while the police also commenced investigations to arrest the robbers.
The Tema Regional Police Commander, D.CO.P Paul Awuni who on behalf of the police expreesed their condolence, further announced that a bounty had been placed on the robbers and has asked the public to cooperate with the police to arrest the criminals.
