President John Dramani Mahama has cancelled scheduled foreign travels until further notice.

The cancellation is to allow him deal with issues on the June 3 flood and fire disasters, which has claimed many lives.

The decision means he would miss the 2015 World of Work Summit of the International Labor Organization conference in Geneva, where he was billed to speak as Guest of Honour.

He will also not attend the 25th Session of the Assembly of Heads of State & Government of the African Union, which opens in Johannesburg on Sunday.

Mahama’s decision is coming days after a national memorial service was held for victims of the June 3 incident.
