The Koforidua Polytechnic is to be converted into a University by 2016, Deputy Minister of Education in Charge of Tertiary Education, Okudzeto Ablakwa, has said.
The decision he says is line with a government of Ghana policy to upgrade all polytechnics in the country to promote technical education.
Ablakwa made the revelation when contributing in Parliament Thursday on the Report of the Committee on Education on the University of Environment and Sustainable Development Bill.
The Bill is in the consideration stage.
