Anthony Tameklo, 42 years, and a clearing agent at the Elubo border in the Western Region, has been arrested by the Half Assini Police at Elubo for defiling his 17 year old biological daughter since 2013 to date.
Anthony is still married to the victim’s mother with whom he has 4 children, 3 girls and 1 boy. The victim is his first daughter. His last sexual affair with his daughter, a JHS pupil of a private school at Elubo was on Sunday, 03/01/16.
According to the victim, it all started when she was sent from Aflao to Elubo in 2013 to stay with her father. She said he asked her one night if she had a boy friend at Aflao. She replied no. The father then asked her to lay in his bed for him to find out. In the bed, he raised her legs up and had sex with her. She was in pain the whole night.
The following morning, she realized she was bleeding, which lasted for only that day. Since then, twice or three times every week, her father had sex with her. She reported her ordeal to her mother who is based at Aflao and comes to Elubo once in a while.
This resulted in a fight between MUM and DAD, with Dad denying the act. Her Dad then threatened to cut off one of her ears or kill her if she mentioned that to her mother or any other person again. He beats her mercilessly whenever she tried to resist/refuse.
When neighbours confronted Him for always beating his daughter, his defence was that the girl was chasing men. According to Victim, her father then changed tactics by giving her sleeping tablets to take. Ignorantly she would take the medicine and sleep off, but wakes up with abdominal pains and spots of blood and fluid in her pants and on her thighs. When she realized this, though very late, she refused to take the tablets her father normally gave her.
This infuriated her father who resorted beatings her before sex. Currently victim has a lot of assault marks all over her body with a swollen right arm as a result of an “electric wire” used by her father in beating her before their last sex.
Anthony Tameklo, who is not a regular member of Assemblies of God Church, Elubo branch, admitted the offence and blamed it on his “unstable” wife and also on a spiritual attack from his enemies.
According to him, he realized what he was doing was evil and devilish and asked his pastors for deliverance and to also intercede on his behalf, just for the police to arrest him. Victim has been sent to Half Assini government Hospital for examination and treatment.
The suspect is currently in police custody and will be put before court for defilement and incest after investigation.
