Former GHALCA Boss, JY Appiah has denied ever engaging Kofi Manu to initiate an impeachment process against the Emergency Committee of the GFA after the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

Kofi Manu who spoke on Dwidwamu, Wednesday alleged that J.Y. Appiah and Jones Abu Alhassan approached him to impeach Randy Abbey and Fred Pappoe after the 2006 world cup because some members of the Emergency Committee lived comfortably whiles they were left to struggle during the tournament so they had to be impeached but refused.

But J.Y. Appiah in unequivocal terms refuted this allegation and has called Kofi Manu a big liar in an interview with Kasapa Sports.

According to him, the allegation is full of twisted facts and there is no iota of truth in what Kofi Manu said.

I decided not to waste my time on somebody like Kofi Manu but I think I have to take the bull by the horn because he Kofi Manu has always been a thorn in my flesh for years.

He also explained to Kasapa Sports why he thought Kofi Manu had misrepresented facts.

I remember in 2006 Kofi Manu insulted me for accepting to serve on the Black Stars Management Committee. As a member of the Management Committee I slept in the same hotel with the team and the leader of delegation so if I was not treated well I would have reported to Kwasi Nyantakyi as the leader. So what has Randy Abbey got to do with me being maltreated? My brother what he is saying is not true, factually wrong and it is never true. How could I have contacted someone who is not my friend in a situation like this? Let me tell you if I want to do something of the sort he will not be the person I will consult. Who was he in Ghana football at that time? I decided not to mind him but I have to set the records straight, what he said is factually wrong and he is a big liar.
