Members of the the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Akwatia Constituency in the Eastern region are expected to go to the polls today Tuesday January 19, to elect their Parliamentary Candidate for the November Parliamentary election.

The constituency failed to hold the election on Saturday November 21, 2015, a date on which the polls were conducted across the country.

The election was reportedly stayed due to security reasons.

The constituency election is being contested by the incumbent MP, Baba Jamal and a businessman, Mr Basil Ahiable.
