The month-long ban on drumming and noise making in Ga State has been lifted to pave way for the annual Homowo Festival .
The ban was lifted with the playing of the sacred Odadao drums by the Gbese Mantse.
The ceremony was witnessed by several dignitaries including the Greater Accra Regional Minister Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Nii Lante Vanderpuye, Mayor of Accra, Alfred Oko Vanderpuye, and leader of the Great Consolidated Popular Party, Dr Henry Lartey.
The dignitaries congratulated the Chiefs and people for making this year’s spiritual exercise peaceful.
