Workers of the Cocoa Processing Company (CPC) have been asked to stay at home as part of their annual leave, following a shut down of its processing plant in Tema.

Management explains that the company is currently facing operational challenges, hence the directive to allow workers proceed on their annual leave around this period.

Kasapafmonline.com checks reveal that over 60 workers of the company are affected by the  decision by  management.

The worker’s union chairman Kingsley Owusu, in a  media interview said the development occurred because there is shortage of cocoa beans in the plant, which he noted has triggered a shut down of the plant.
