Havoc wreaks on the farms of local farmers at Ataase in the Adansi South District in the Ashanti region as they complain of serious frustrations with the activities of Fulani herdsmen and their animals.
According to them, the nomads were troubling their lives -ruining their crops in the area.
Madam Elizabeth Asare, their spokesperson, says many of her colleague women farmers “are unable to go their farms unaccompanied for fear of their lives”.
She has therefore pleaded with government to act decisively to stop the impunity of the Fulani herdsmen.
She fears the situation, if allowed to go unchecked could have dire implications on food safety and overall agricultural production in the district.
