USAID and the Ministry of Education and have agreed to a five-year partnership.

The agreement is to enhance teaching and learning at the basic school level.

The project which has already taken off will “cover over two million children and train 51 thousand teachers to improve on early grade primary school literacy,” state broadcaster GBC says.

Minister for Education Naana Jane Opoku-Agyeman said the partnership will build Ghana’s education sector, and institutional capacity.
