A leading member of the NPP Sammy Awuku has defended the party’s new breed of young parliameantry hopefuls, insisting they represent a new political inspiration.

Awuku told Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa Tuesday that he was happy about the new look and feel of the NPP’s parliamentary composition, which has since made way for a 22-year-old law student, Francisca Oteng-Mensah.

The NPP he said was parading young and ambitious minds who were ready to do battle with their counterparts in the NDC.

“People are commending the NPP for the younger generation of leaders we are producing.

“The only difference between the NPP and the NDC is that these are babies with sharp minds as compared to the NDC’s babies with sharp teeth.”

The younger ones he told Banson will “get better.”

“They deserve our support. There are strategies to be learnt. We will take them through all of that.

“The world will be watching them and how they raise the flag of the youth. i believe they wouldn’t disappoint. The dynamics have changed.”
