Embattled businessman and financier of the ruling National Democratic Congress, Alfred A. Woyome has prayed the Supreme Court to allow him pay the GHȻ51.2 million judgment debt he fradulently received from the state in three (3) years.

He also prayed the court to allow him to pay the money by installment, starting with GHȻ8 million at the end of April 2016.

The businessman was in court Tuesday to apply for a stay of execution to allow him pay the GHȻ51.2 million, while he heads to the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

The court, however, was not happy with the fact that while Mr Ken Anku, counsel for Mr Woyome, had announced he was heading to the ICC for arbitration, was at the same time in the court in a quest to restrain the Attorney-General (A-G) from attaching his properties because his client wanted to renegotiate the terms of payment.

Mr Woyome who had promised to settle the whopping amount to the state by the end of December 2015 failed to honour his word.
