Convener of the Coalition for the Defense of Equal Citizenship (CODEC), Godwin Edudzi Tameklo, has cautioned a cross section of the public defending the arrest of the three ex-South African Police cops to desist from such act.

According to him, per his own background checks and analysis of the situation, the former Police officers had other ulterior motives they were contracted to execute apart from training some party footsoldiers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in crowd control and VIP protection.

In an interview on Accra based Okay FM, Thursday, Tamekloe said his background checks has revealed that the South African nationals are IT experts who were purposely brought into the country by the NPP to monitor the activities of Superlocks Technologies Limited (STL), an Israeli padlock coy in whose hands the management of Ghana’s election results has been entrusted to.

That aside, they are also to monitor the transmission of the 2016 election results.

“Bringing these three South Africans into this country for the purpose of crowd control and VIP protection can never be the case. In fact, they were specifically brought in to monitor the activities of STL and possibly subvert whatever they will be doing relating to the 2016 elections”.

“It is not a doubt that they found a document detailing all staff and management members of STL, their strength and weaknesses. This has nothing to do with crowd control and VIP protection. It has nothing to do with Nana Addo. It has everything to do with transmission of election results and the involvement of STL in the management of our election in 2016”, he noted.

He said it is important for all civil society groups to condemn the act dispassionately, stressing that all over, South African ex-military men Police officers have gained global notoriety of fomenting troubles elsewhere, especially, by engaging in subverting the wills of the people.
