An Accra Court has granted bail to head of security for flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Akufo-Addo, Captain (Rtd) Edmund Koda and the owner of El-Capitano Hotel, Captain (Rtd) Acquah.

This follows the drop of charges against the duo by the Bereau of National Investigations (BNI) after taking their statement.

The two were implicated in the arrest of the three ex-South African Police officers who were arrested at Agona Duakwa in the Central Region last Sunday for allegedly engaging in acts that have potency of threatening the security of the country.

One of the seven lawyers for the ex-service men, Nana Asante Bediatuo confirmed this in an interview with journalists moments after an Accra Circuit Court had granted each of the former South African Police personnel bail to the tune of GH₵20,000 with one surety to be justified.
