A sister of one of the deported South African ex-police men, who were arrested in Ghana says the family is happy with the extradition albeit the disturbing allegations held against her brother, Major (rtd), Ahmed Shaik Hazis and two others.

“The way they [his brother and the two others] were treated and we didn’t understand the charges that were brought against them but we just rejoiced that they are on their way home and we are just happy that there was no real case against them.”Nimala Abboy said in an interview with Accra-based Citi FM.

She said they’e excited because justice has been done in the case following their release and subsequent deportation.

“…they are innocent, they were not guilty of any criminal activity, we just want to thank the Lord Jesus for answering our prayers” she added.
