The National Executives of the striking Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSSAG) on Friday met with the Minister of Employment in the bid to broker deal with government over their new salary structure.

A similar meeting was held Thursday with Labour Minister, Haruna Iddrisu as government is determined  to reach a middle ground with the striking workers in the ongoing negotiation.

Hundreds of persons seeking justice at the various courts in Accra were on Friday hugely disappointed after they came all the way from various destinations only to learn that staff of the Judicial Service had begun an indefinite strike action.

Many of them were stranded at the court as they had no prior knowledge of the strike action.

The agitating staff who claim government has turned a deaf ear to their demands argued that they have over the years been unfairly treated as far as their conditions of service are concerned as compared to some members of the lower bench, believing that only a strike action of such magnitude will compel the managers of the economy to attend to their needs.
