AngloGold Ashanti (AGA) Obuasi Mine has donated a 20-seater water closet modern sanitary facility to the chiefs and people of Sanso in the Ashanti Region.
The facility, which costs GHc 190,000.00 was solely financed by the mining company and constructed by BAMED Construction Ltd, a local construction company.
Nana Ampofo Bekoe, Sustainability Manager of AGA who handed over the facility noted that the community plays an important role in its investment drive hence the donation.
Nana Akua Gyamfuaa, Queen mother of Sanso, who received the keys to the facility, said it would greatly impact their sanitation needs.
