Under-fire Hearts of Oak coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi is reported to have furiously stormed out of a meeting with the management of the club at the club’s secretariat on Thursday evening, smashing a hanging portrait of former chairman Tommy Okine before kicking the legs of a board member.
The Japanese trainer, according to eye witnesses, questioned the relevance of the meeting which was to address the current happenings in the club.
He further went on rampage, describing the questions being asked at the meeting as “useless and ignorant”.
Club sources mentioned that the coach who was invited to the usual post-match meeting with other members of the Management team gave a very bad account of himself as he shouted, insulted and destroyed certain items in the Boardroom in his anger.
Sources say the coach who has for some time now boycotted the usual post-match technical meeting with the management, arrived at the Hearts secretariat in an angry mood.
After taking his seat, he was welcomed by the head of the Strategic Committee, Vincent Sowah Odotei and asked what went wrong against WAFA the previous day.
“Immediately he was asked that question he stood up and told Odotei that he has no right to ask him such a stupid question because he is not a technical person. ‘In fact, none you here has the right to ask me that question’, were his exact words”, our sources mentioned.
As if bewitched or under some form of spell coach Kenichi is alleged to have started insulting the Management members and accusing them of talking too much and always calling for these ‘useless meetings’ just to waste his time.
“The members of the management team were in shock as none of them knew what was happening. He told them that he was leaving if they had nothing better to tell him or ask him.”
Our sources mentioned that just as he was stepping out of the Boardroom, he pushed away a chair which hit and smashed a picture frame of one of the former Directors of the Club, Thomas Okine (Nii Ayi Bonte II), slammed the door, an action that broke one of the louvers in the boardroom.
The ill-tempered Japanese is also said to have kicked the legs of board member Frank Nelson, who had tried to calm him down and prevent him from leaving.
Kenichi Yatsuhashi has been enraged by management’s refusal to pay winning bonuses and other arrears owed him and his backroom staff, which prompted his decision to post details on Facebook.
The coach has also expressed his ‘disappointment’ at the sacking of the club’s corporate affairs manager Joe Addo, whom he describes as a “quality man”.
It is unclear what decision the management seeks to change but sources within the club have hinted that the coach might be sacked by the close of the week. – Ghanasoccernet
