Baah Acheamfour, one of the fiercest critics of the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Akufo Addo on Monday afternoon had the rudest shock of his life when he was beaten by macho men.
The incident happened in the studios of Kumasi based Fox FM where he had been invited as a panelist on the station’s afternoon political show.
The well built men attacked Baah Acheamfour who’s the Communications Director of NPP appendage “Save NPP Now after he reportedly lambasted Nana Akufo Addo for being behind the division in the largest opposition party. He allegedly also condemned the recent fund raising campaign (Yi Bi Ma) launched by the NPP.
The producer of the show, Nana Anokye in an interview with Kwaku Owusu Adjei on Si Me So on Kasapa FM, stated that the Macho men who rode on motorbikes violently entered the studios and started beating persons in the room including the station’s morning show host.
He said while the attack was on, his other colleagues managed to call in the police but they arrived after the thugs had left.
Nana Anokye noted that though he cannot immediately name who may be behind the attack, he suspects that the NPP Ashanti Regional Communications Director, Kwasi Kyei may have a hand in the disgraceful and criminal act.
“Kwesi Kyei was in the studios insisting that Baah Acheamfour is not resident in Ashanti Region, and also not part of the regional communications team and furthermore he failed to seek permission to speak on behalf of the party on air.”
He added that Baah Acheamfour has since been taken to the hospital for treatment, while a formal complaint has been lodged with the police.
