Protestors mainly from the Sodom and Gomorrah settlement in the Central Business District of Accra have gathered at the state House in Accra to continue their exercise which started early Monday.

In their hundreds, the protestors, mostly traders who reside at the slum, are chanting war songs, displaying placards with political undertones.

The Police have moved in to restore order, dispersing them where possible.

As reported earlier, displaced settlers at the Sodom and Gomorrah slum in the Central Business District of Accra Monday morning embarked on a massive demonstration to register their displeasure at Saturday’s demolition of some structures at the grounds.

An incensed crowd numbering hundreds Kasapa FM‘s reporter Kwaku Opare who followed them says, they went up and down the long stretch of road between the Abossey Okai Central Mosque and the slum and chanted war songs.

He additionally reported that a heavy security presence was brought in to fend off any possible extension.
