Ghana is endowed with numerous resources and one of the areas politicians hardly consider is skills and talent development which, if it were to be given maximum attention, would have doubled our gross domestic products.

The country over the years have been giving scanty attention to these areas leaving haven for the disappointed ones to find themselves in crimes, drugs, prostitution, cyber fraud and illegal migrations. Few of these who become fortunate to break into the limelight readily become frayed-off from our own people forcing them to relinquish their talents prematurely.

Examples to substantiate this fact is incessant. Wouldn’t it worth as a nation to create an enabling environment to cushion philanthropists whose aspirations are to discover talents, groom, nurture and manage them? Such agitations should be a collective responsibility as a nation.

Why should some television stations in Ghana import series and soap operas meanwhile the country has adequate actors and actresses to satisfy our demand? If we were to practice what we preach by assimilating the phrase of the late politician Dan Lartey, Ghana could also export her actors and actresses to boost her economy.

The hearts breaking part of the whole process is after a producer has gone through all thick and thin to produce a movie or music, the cost of promotion slaps at his face and piracy also adds salt to his injury killing the business completely.

Amidst all these challenges, Signal Broadcasting Network has weighed the sides and outdoor ‘A journey to the throne’ with new breed of stars to spice up the taste of Ghana movie industry. The story line, the setting, fine African costume as well as the master craft displayed give it a nostalgic memories.

A film cooked and produced under the supervision of a robust and versatile media practitioner, Nana Agyei Boateng is poised to be one of the best productions from Ghana. Journey to the throne is premiering on the April 30,, 2016 at Golf Suites Hotel near GIMPA, West Legon, Accra.

A new dawn to believe in new talents is now. Let’s dream future. Let’s believe in Ghana!
