Speaking at the weekend’s activities, CCO of Surfline, Mr. Justice Taylor said, “Being the Ghanaian brand that we are, Surfline is committed to contributing to the development of the welfare of the communities in which we operate. We intend to fulfil this commitment by supporting these communities in any practical way that we can to make life better for all of us.”

He mentioned the cleanliness of our beaches as being a major stumbling block to attracting holiday-makers and was of the hope that this initiative will spur the community to play a bigger role in keeping the beaches clean and attractive.

According to Mr. Taylor, Surfline’s involvement in surfing, is in line with Surfline’s quest to always do things in a unique but engaging way: “Though surfing as a sport is not very popular in Ghana yet, it has the potential to become a great one and make Ghana a holiday destination for surfers.”

BB Ansah from Ghana won the Men’s surfing event.
