The Corporate Social Responsibility wing of global bank Barclays has donated items to support victims of the June 3 flood and fire disaster.

A delegation of seven people led by William Mould Tuesday presented student mattresses and clothes worth thousands of cedis to the Adabraka-based Kasapa FM as their contribution to support relief efforts for victims of the disaster.

Mould said the decision to raise funds was informed by a narration of Kasapa FM‘s radio Pastor, Agyenim Boateng, who during one of his early morning shows told the chilling story of how he witnessed at first hand attempts by some victims at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, were admitted without mattresses.

Mould told Fiifi Banson that he was touched by the story and went ahead to rally his department to help contribute to the victims.

Station handlers thanked the bank’s representatives for their gesture.

Anopa Kasapa host Fiifi Banson, who hosted the delegation on his show said the items will be delivered to the victims.

“We will put it to good use. We are all witnesses to what happened.”
