The people of Oduntia town in the Amasaman constituency are appealing to authorities to support them construct a public toilet to help curb sanitation problems facing the township.
Speaking to Kasapa FM’s Maame Broni, the Oduntia Mantse, Nii Kwei Mensah IV noted that, the traditional council has already demarcated a site for the construction of a public toilet yet the authorities are neglecting their them, hence their decision to stay off this year’s election.
Nii Kwei noted that, roads leading from Amasaman Township to his town are in a deplorable state making transportation difficult for the inhabitants. He said several meetings have been held with stakeholders yet the town continuous to deteriorate and also lack social amenities which has compounded the people’s hardship.
He further appealed to telecommunication companies to consider extending their coverage to Oduntia to enable them easily communicate with their loved ones elsewhere.
