Stonebwoy has dedicated his 2015 Bet award for Best International Act – Africa to victims of Ghana’s June 3 flood and fire disaster that claimed over 150 lives.

In an exclusive interview with Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) on his Sunday evening 360Live programme on Live FM, the Ghanaian act said his win was a “victory for the whole of Ghana.”

“Particularly this goes to the lives we lost in the flood and fire disaster. I dedicate this award to them.”

Stonebwoy‘s win was Ghana’s second in three years after Sarkodie shared his 2012 award with Nigeria’s Wizkid.

Ghana also won the award for Best International Act – UK as Stormzy beat FUSE ODG and Lethal Bizzle among others to win in the category.

The 2015 BET Awards was hosted by the stars of the hit ABC comedy “Blackish,” Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross.

The Awards showcased artists like Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar, Chris Brown, Ciara and Jason Derulo.

The cast of “Empire” made a special musical performance. A segment of the program was dedicated to legend of the field including Janet Jackson, Smokey Robinson and Tom Joyner.
