The Ghana international is considered the perfect short-term reinforcement to the Yellow Canaries’ creaky defence, with his low wage posing as big advantage

Turkish giants Fenerbahce want to reinforce their defence by signing Chelsea and Ghana defender Abdul Baba Rahman, according to Turkish newspaper AMK.

The report says the Super Lig side are considering a season-long loan move for the 21-year-old left-back, in a bid to improve a unit that conceded 27 goals last season.

Reports in the British and Italian media suggest Chelsea new manager Antonio Conte is eyeing a move for Juventus left-back and Baba’s national teammate Kwadwo Asamoah, whom the coach previously worked with in the Serie A, thus making the former Augsburg youngster surplus to requirement, with Cesar Azpilicueta Tanco also available.

Baba made 15 appearances in the English Premier League last season with eleven starts but has been promised more game time by Fenebache, according to AMK.

He debuted with Ghana in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and has since made 10 appearances.
