The Electricity Company of Ghana says it is investigating a case in which police officers have illegally connected electricity to their barracks at the Community 8 Police in Tema.
By law the police barracks are not directly responsible for their electricity bills as it is taken care of by government.
Deputy Manager of Public Affairs at ECG Dan Adjei Larbi briefing journalists said the utility service provider will soon establish how the facility got unto the National grid on the ECG’s blind side.
The ECG is undertaking a special audit exercise to check illegal connections among others.
