The Police administration says they are investigating the conduct of one of its dispatch riders and a driver who were recently captured on tape illegally escorting some friends of some football stars on a private trip.
A statement issued in Accra this week said the body had approved a request for security escort from a local company Gold Star Consult that had sought for escort for football stars travelling to Kumasi for a charity football match.
It adds that on June 19 a convoy of the celebrities left the Tetteh Quarshie Interchange for Kumasi and in the course the video was shot by persons who have since been identified as associates of some of the football stars including Asamoah Gyan, Emmanuel Adebayor, and Christian Atsu among others.
It has promised to take necessary action.
