As part of his peace advocacy campaign under the Shatta Supports initiative, dancehall act, Shatta Wale has called on the Chiefs and People of Techiman.
The ‘Kakai’ hit star donated educational materials to some selected schools in the Techiman Municipality.
Shatta Wale recently announced the commencement of his corporate social responsibility activities with focus on education and health.
Dubbed Shatta Supports, the initiative includes other social intervention programs aimed at building the capacities of the underprivileged in society to equip them to take advantage of opportunities that will come their way.
“Shatta Supports is the corporate social responsibility arm of Shatta Movement which seeks to develop the socio-human capital of Ghana by improving the quality of peoples lives through appropriate and sustainable social interventions in identified areas. As a celebrity, it is my way of giving back to the very people who have supported me to get to the top. It is very important to use my status to impact positively on their lives”, noted the dancehall act.
Shatta has also rolled out his peace advocacy campaign known as One Nation One People which seeks to promote peace and stability in the country before, during and after the election.
He posted this on his facebook page after the courtesy call on the chiefs.
“We are in Techiman now to launch my CSR campaign. We are about to pay a courtesy call on the chief then donate educational materials to some selected schools. Also the peace advocacy is on …. join us at the palace now.”
